So my job finally decided to go paperless. While the process has already started, the headquarters was presented with a quite a challenge: make people use computers... DAILY. Some of the staff has never touched a computer before, not to mention emails, typing, or anything else closely associated with the topic. Some don't know how to turn the unit on EVEN THOUGH the unit is ON 24/7 and there's a big sign on it "DO NOT DISCONNECT, OR TURN OFF."
Nowadays, when I arrive to work after a week of screwing with my personal life, I get to find out how screwed up are lives of my co-workers. Some of them, and with all respect, have no fucking idea how to write. It's not even about correct grammar. I'm ESL myself, I can empathise with that, but for fuck sake... Can you please use commas? Maybe semicolons? Dots at the end of the sentence would be greatly appreciated. And NO, enter is not a good sub for a dot!!! What about capital letters at the beginning of a new sentence? Could that happen in a close future?
I read about 40 notes today. That's just 3 days worth of info for me. I found things like:
"had a great night and the reason why is because he slept fine"
"All so he was doing alot of ... at times and .... him self. But not to the point were he is hurting himself"
Seriously, WTF?
On top of that, it seems as though my people piss twice a night EVERY damn night for the past 3 months, on EVERY damned shift. Seriously? You either sit and count each night, or you're full of shit. Pick one. Either way, there's something wrong with that picture.
Sorry, had to vent and it's not appropriate to do so in work environment, so here I am...
God bless America.
